While the nation was listening to the vapid excuse by Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta about the leniency shown sex offender Jeffery Epstein, something equally important happened that certainly didn’t receive the attention it deserved.
Rod Schoonover, one of the State Department’s highly regarded international affairs analysts, resigned in protest because his written testimony on the effect of climate change on national security was not included in the official record of the Congressional hearing because the White House refused to permit it. The NYTimes reported that his oral testimony “did not correspond with the White House views.”
One more example of how uncomfortable the White House is with the truth.
